Ever struggle to believe you’ll end up with the person that’s right for you? Who shares the same values and goals as you do when it comes to life and your relationship? So do I, and I transformed that inner mental chatter into downtempo synth-pop music with relatable lyrics in ‘Waiting for You’.

It’s a laid back reminder to hold on to your commitment of waiting for the one who’s worth it. It’s for anyone waiting for their own person, who has a high standard and knows what they want and holds on to their belief that with enough patience it will be worth the wait when it happens.

It’s not always easy navigating a culture where we’re constantly swiping on dating apps, ghosting, seeking no strings attached fun, all while hustling in what sometimes feels like a cold and competitive city. Sometimes you yearn for someone you know you can lean on when times get tough and vice versa.

When I first wrote this song, it started out as an arpeggiated chord shortly after feeling inspired from my trip to Barcelona. It was my first attempt at starting a song from scratch in a while and I surprised myself with a downtempo vibe. It really let the arpeggiated synths breathe and create a heightened sense of reality. As the song developed it inspired me to reflect on how I am getting older and still haven't met someone I feel is worth being in a relationship with.
